Iran and Russia sounded upbeat about talks on removing sanctions on Tuesday, with Tehran saying an accord was possible if other parties showed “good faith” and a Russian negotiator reporting “indisputable progress.”
-- Government: President Raisi to Visit Russia Soon
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will pay an official state visit to Russia in 2022 upon an invitation by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Government spokesman Ali Bahadori-Jahromi said on Tuesday.
The state visit will probably take place in the early days of the new year, he told reporters here.
Earlier Tuesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “Russian-Iranian contacts at the highest level are being prepared.”
